Milk- 1 to 1.5 litre

Sago (sabudana)- 150 gram

Sugar- 100-125 gram

Cardamom- 3-4

Saffron threads

How to make sabudana ki kheer

For making sago kheer, first rinse sago thoroughly and soak it in water for half an hour to one hour. take a non- stick pan and add milk and bring it to the first boil. once the milk has boiled. add the drained sago and wait for the milk come to boil again. keep the flame high this time. 

When the milk reaches to the boil. reduce the heat. meanwhile soak some saffron strands in a small amount of warm milk. once the saffron is soaked. add it to the kheer along with cardamom powder and sugar. allow the sugar to dissolve and check that sago has soft. turn off the heat, garnish it with dry fruits, and serve it warm or chilled. sago kheer is ready to serve.  

Tips

As the sago softens, it will start to floating to the surface of the pan, indicate that it is fully cooked. you can also check by pressing a sago pearl between your fingers or tasting a small spoonful of the kheer to confirm.
