About lassi recipe

Lassi, a refreshing and brain-cooling drink, is commonly made during the summer season. It is very popular in North India and Punjab. Lassi can be made in various variations, such as mango lassi, dry fruit lassi, and malai lassi. Lassi is a sweet recipe made by whisking yogurt, and it is flavored with cardamom and nutmeg for a unique taste. Lassi can be both sweet and salty. The salty version is sometimes referred to as “chaas” in many regions. To make lassi, yogurt can be whisked using a wooden whisk, electronic beater, or a mixer jar. Speaking of yogurt, it is widely used in summer to make raita, chaas, and lassi, as the nutrients in yogurt are beneficial for digestion and heart health. How to make salty lassi

To make Masala Lassi, whisk the yogurt with a wooden whisk. Add water, roasted cumin, and rock salt, then mix well. Add water as needed to adjust the consistency. Your Masala Lassi is ready.

Tips

The ingredients mentioned above are for one glass, but you can adjust the quantity based on your preference.

If you’re making sweet lassi, you can also add cinnamon powder for extra flavor.

For sweet lassi, don’t leave the yogurt in the muslin cloth for too long. It should retain a little bit of water. You can leave it aside for 10-15 minutes or hang it up for that purpose.

You can adjust the amount of sugar in sweet lassi based on your taste.

If you don’t have a wooden whisk, you can use an electronic beater or hand beater instead.
