All purpose flour- 1 and 1/4 cup

Cumin- 2 teaspoon and for sprinkle

Butter- 1/2 cup

Powdered sugar- 2 tablespoon

Milk- 2 tablespoon

Salt- 1/2 teaspoon

Baking powder- 1/2 teaspoon

Baking soda-1/4 teaspoon

How to make jeera biscuit

To make jeera biscuits, take a bowl and beat the butter using an electric beater. Beat it until it becomes light in color and airy. Then, add powdered sugar and beat it well again. Next, add all-purpose flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and cumin seeds, and mix everything thoroughly. Gradually adding by little milk at a time and knead it into a dough-like consistency. Once the dough is ready, shape it into small round biscuits.

Prepare all the biscuits in the same way. Now, lightly apply water to all the biscuits by using brush.  Sprinkle some cumin seeds on top and press them gently. Bake them in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes. Take the baked biscuits out of the oven and let them cool. Store the cumin biscuits in an airtight container, and enjoy them with tea or milk.

Tips

Add milk to the cumin biscuit dough if its needed. Adding too much milk can make the dough very soft and sticky. and the biscuits won’t turn out well.

Instead of an electric beater, you can also use a whisk. However, beating butter with a whisk takes more time and effort.
