About almond milk recipe

Almond milk is a nutritious and delicious beverage, made by soaking almonds in water, then grinding them to prepare the mixture. It’s a healthy and refreshing drink that’s easy to make.

Almond milk is rich in nutrients such as protein, fiber, vitamin E, and magnesium. It is beneficial for the skin and, due to its antioxidant properties, helps improve heart health as well. Almond milk is low in calories and cholesterol-free, making it a great option for weight loss.

Almond milk can be served both hot or cold. For flavor, you can mix in honey, cardamom, or saffron to make it even more delicious. While almond milk is available in various flavors in stores, making it fresh at home is easy and ensures a healthier, more flavorful option.

Regular consumption of almond milk boosts energy levels and strengthens the immune system. It is especially beneficial in winter, as it helps keep the body warm. Overall, almond milk is an excellent and health-boosting option that people of all ages can incorporate into their daily routine, especially for those who, like me, don’t prefer eating whole almonds.

For those who are allergic to regular white milk or prefer flavored milk, they can enjoy almond and saffron milk. Not only does it enhance the taste of milk, but it also supports overall health. If you liked this recipe, please click the link below to explore my other recipes.

Tips and FAQ

Ingredients

Almonds- 25

Milk- 1 and 1/2 glass

Saffron threads- 5-6

Sugar- 30 gram ( as per taste)

Cardamom powder- 1/2 teaspoon

How to make almond milk

Soak almonds in water overnight to make it easier to peel the skin off  next morning. Peel the almonds and grind them using a grinder or stone pestle (sil batta) to make a smooth paste. Heat milk in a pan and bring it to a boil. Once the milk boils, add grind almonds, cardamom powder, and saffron threads. Keep stirring the mixture as it thickens. Once the milk thickens a bit, add sugar and stir well until it completely dissolves. Turn off the heat, and your delicious almond milk is ready to serve!

Tips

Using a stone pestle for grinding almonds adds a unique texture and enhances the flavor, giving the almond milk a richer taste. The slightly coarse almonds add a delightful crunch when drinking.

If using a grinder, the pulse mode works well to achieve a similar texture. Enjoy your almond milk.
