Ingredients

Ghee – 45 grams
Milkmaid – 100 grams
Milk – 1 cup
Carrot – 5-6
Cardamom – 1/2 teaspoon
Pistachios – a handful
Almonds – for garnish

How to make carrot ladoo

To make carrot laddoo, first grate the carrots. Now, take a non-stick pan, heat ghee in it, and add the grated carrots. Cook them on high heat until the water from the carrots evaporates. Then, add milk and stir for 5 minutes. Cover the pan and cook until the carrots become soft. Once the carrots are soft, add Milkmaid and mix well. When the mixture starts to leave the sides of the pan, add cardamom powder and turn off the heat. Let the mixture cool, then shape it into laddoos and garnish with almonds.

Tips

In carrot laddoo, you can use sugar instead of milkmaid. However, adding khoya along with sugar will enhance the flavor significantly.

After adding Milkmaid, keep stirring the mixture on low heat until it starts to leave the sides of the pan. If you turn off the gas too soon, the laddoos won’t hold their shape properly.
