Semolina- 100 gram

Gramflour- 1 teaspoon

Wheat flour – 1 teaspoon

Clarified butter(ghee)- 125 gram

Dry fruit -25 gram

Saffron threads

Sugar- 200 gram

Cardamom powder- 1 teaspoon

How to make suji ka halwa

Heat ghee in a pan. once the ghee is hot. add semolina and roast it.  when semolina is roasted. add wheat flour and gram flour, continue roasting untill semolina turn reddish color. meanwhile, in a seperate pan, mix water and sugar and heat it on the gas. once sugar has dissolved, add few strands of saffron and dry fruits. and turn off the flame.  

Now carefully add sugar syrup to the roasted semolina mixture. flame should be low. add cardamom powder. mix it.  cover the pan with the lid. and cook it for 5-7 minutes. remove the lid.  stirring it again. now ghee starts to separate from the semolina halwa, turn off the flame. serve hot. semolina halwa is ready to eat.
