Desiccated Coconut – 1 tablespoon

Fresh Cream – 1 tablespoon

How to make bounty chocolate

To make Bounty Bars, first, melt the chocolate using a double boiler. Add oil to the chocolate and stir continuously with a spatula until it melts completely.

In a non-stick pan, add desiccated coconut, powdered sugar, and fresh cream. Stir well until the mixture forms a dough-like consistency. Once the mixture starts leaving the sides of the pan, turn off the heat and let it cool.

Pour the melted chocolate into the chocolate mold and spread it evenly to form a layer. Remove excess chocolate by flipping the mold upside down. Place the mold in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to set the chocolate layer.

Once the layer is set, add the coconut mixture into the mold and spread it evenly. Cover it with the remaining melted chocolate. Tap the mold 2-3 times to remove air bubbles and place it in the fridge to set.

Once the chocolate has set, gently demold each Bounty Bar. Your amazing homemade Bounty Bars are ready to enjoy.

Tips

If you prefer a sweeter taste, you can use milk compound instead of dark compound.

Break the chocolate into small pieces before melting for better results.

Do not melt chocolate directly on the gas flame, as it will burn.

Ensure that no water comes in contact with the chocolate; otherwise, the compound will spoil, and it won’t be usable for making chocolates.

You can also melt the chocolate in a microwave. Set the timer for a few seconds and stir the chocolate in between intervals.

For making chocolates, you can use molds of any design or shape as per your preference.

 FAQ

Can any oil be used in chocolate compound?
It’s important to avoid using oils with strong smells like mustard oil. However, other types of cooking oils, such as vegetable oil, sunflower oil, or coconut oil, can be used in chocolate compounds.

What is a double boiler?
A double boiler is a cooking method where two bowls are used: one with water and the other with the ingredient to be melted (like chocolate). First, heat the water in the lower bowl on the gas. Once the water heats up, place the bowl with chocolate on top of the boiling water. Stir the chocolate continuously as it melts slowly due to the steam from the boiling water. This method helps prevent direct heat, which could burn the chocolate.
