Arbi (Taro) – 1/2 kilogram

Oil – For frying arbi

Salt – As per taste

Red chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Coriander powder – 1/2 teaspoon

Turmeric powder – 1/2 teaspoon

How to make fry arbi

To make Arbi Fry, first boil the arbi. Take a pressure cooker, add water, salt, and arbi, and cook it for one whistle. Let the cooker cool down. Peel the arbi and press it lightly with your palms.

In another pan, heat some oil. Fry the arbi in small batches on medium heat. Once the arbi turns golden brown, remove it from the pan. Leave a little oil in the pan and set aside the rest.

Now, in the same pan, add salt, turmeric, red chili powder, and coriander powder. Add the fried arbi and mix it for 1-2 minutes on medium heat. Turn off the gas.

Finally, crush some mint powder and kasuri methi, and sprinkle it over the arbi. You can also garnish it with fresh coriander leaves. Your Arbi Fry is ready to enjoy.

Tips

When adding spices to the pan, make sure to immediately mix in the fried arbi. Otherwise, the spices will burn, and the dish won’t turn out well.

Be careful not to boil the arbi for more than one whistle. If boiled too long, it will become sticky, and the dish won’t taste good.
